The Sword of Truth Series.

image

The latest series i have stumbled across (with the help from Bax) is the sword of truth series. For fans of the Wheel Of time series, then this series is a must.

I have read the first 4 books and i would say this is just as good as WoT.

My boxed set have just arrived from the US via amazon.com and i am ready to put my train time to good use.

This is what the wiki has to say about the series...

"The Sword of Truth is an epic fantasy series featuring a vast cast of unique characters. The main character is a young man named Richard Cypher, a simple woods guide who lends a hand to a stranger seeking a nameless Wizard who left his land many years ago. Over the course of the series, Richard learns about his heritage while seeking to stop the evil that others would unleash upon the world of the living. By refusing to sacrifice his values and living his life as a free man, others begin to understand the nobility of man and what it means to be free. Each book is loosely themed around a Wizard's Rule, tenets by which all wizards should abide."

House Update....

Well the final big move is happening this saturday. With the help from the Ferns family and giggsy and 1 massive trailer. Over the past week we have been slowly moving all the boxes up in our cars and all is looking good.

The floor boards were installed last saturday and what a fantastic job that was done by Martin and his team. During the week Miracle Tree Worx came in and removed the cocas palms and ground some stumps away, once again a fantastic job and they left the site clean :)

Tonight i will be sleeping at the house for the first time (all be it on a sleeping bag) so i will be at the house for the delivery of the lounge, fridge and dishwasher.

A couple of issues that we have come across so far is - NO TV Reception and no ADSL2 Internet :(

There are plenty of photos to come (but they are sitting on the camera and have been too busy to get them on the web).

The Darkside - PS2

My standards have dropped! I have bought a PS2, yes along time Xbox and Nintendo fan i have turned to the darkside and brought a PS2.

What the hell for?

One Game - SingStar, the might party starter.

We got it out last night and hooked up the mics and gave it a blast, one thing i noticed (and impressed by) was the size of the PS2! its very very tiny. Good work Sony.

Ah Technology....

Well thanks to HP and Nintendo i will be receiving a new Wii in around 70 days or so. That's right buying 5 HP toners enabled me to receive a new Wii. Great stuff that, i cant wait.

Along with the new Wii coming i think i might go get a PS2 tonight at Kmart for $150. As much as i hate PS, i love the game SingStar and all the fun it can cause at parties.

Last but not least is http://www.amazon.com , today I picked up the next 6 books (2 box sets) of the Sword of Truth series and it cost me $47 US. At the moment i am paying $20 a book at dymocks.. so i think 6 books plus delivery for approx $52 aus is great savings... So next time you need a book head over to amazon.com and check out the book section, i guarantee it has your book.

Bou and Caroline's Wedding Part 2.

Thats right Part 2 :) after a "Australian" wedding on Thursday night aboard the Pontoon Boat, which by the way was fantastic, we moved on the Traditional Lao wedding.

We started the day at Bous parents were we experienced the Lao culture and traditions. The weather cleared up and 200 odd people helped celebrate. Then if this wasn't enough it was on to the reception and another 300 people joined us.

The food, the people and the drinks were all top class and made for a fantastic night.

Oh by the way, if you haven't been to Lao wedding before, well you have missed out. The Johnnie Walker "Black Label" was flowing quite freely.....

Congrats to Boussa and Caroline for a fantastic day.

Pimp 'N Ho's Party

Well what a night. Rach and Ben held the first ever Pimp and Ho's party for Rach's 25th and also their house warming party (what a great house it is).

All the regulars were in attendance and all were in character (including men as Ho's, a rugby league player and the head of playboy himself).

As the night wore on and the softies went to bed and the other softies passed out (Benny apparently too hard too early). While the other partied on with Sing Star being belted out to the early hours.

Enjoy the photos and Happy Bday Rach.
